UNIAPAC is an oecumenical organization headquartered in Paris. UNIAPAC was born in Belgium in 1931 and federates today Christian Business Leaders Associations from 40 countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia.
UNIAPAC advocates for an economy based on the respect of the dignity of the person and the sense of Common Good and for the promotion of business as a noble vocation.
UNIAPAC promotes the transformation of companies to contribute to the construction of a more just and humane society.
Ensures their own personal development and training, and serves as a link between Christian associations of business executives across the world to facilitate exchanges and be recognised worldwide for the distinctive promotion of business as a Noble vocation.
UNIAPAC gathers today Christian Business Leaders Associations from 40 countries in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia. UNIAPAC represents more than 45.000 very active business executives around the world, working in various leading sectors of the world economy.
There are more than 100.000 related business executives worldwide, ultimately creating a global network of more than 3.000.000 people.
A.H.M. Albregst prepared the final establishment of UNIAPAC as an organisation under the denomination “Union Internationale des Associations Patronales Catholiques”.
UNIAPAC launches the “Churches-Transnational Corporations” Dialogue in Europe. The origin of these Dialogues is the development of a consciousness, on the part of business and the Churches, on the role of business in society.
UNIAPAC commemorated in Rome the centenary of “Rerum Novarum” – the first social Encyclical (1891) – and presented to His Holiness John-Paul II the book “The Churches facing the enterprise – A Hundred Years of Social Thinking”.
Creation of the UNIAPAC Foundation, the founding partner of UNIAPAC International.
